Worcester junior not working

I have a 24i older non condensing boiler which is now not working on the heating or hot water side.

It has been having problems with the hot water not coming on if the heating is on and so you have to switch the heating off for this, but now both dont work.

all that is happening on the boiler is the flashing light going off.

Could this be the diverter valve ?

This boiler is going to be replaced in 6 weeks with a new combi on the energy save scheme, so i dont want to spend too much getting it working again.

pressure is fine

no, not sure about that one. The engineer came out tonight and had a look. He thinks it is the pcb board and so i am going to see if i can get one on monday.

Is this button actually on top of the boiler where flue exits then ? Could that really be the problem ?

Cheers for any input gordongas, any help appreciated as we have no heat or water at mo.
