Would a check-valve fix my mixer problem?

Hi

I'm getting some cross over of cold water into hot water at a shower mixer valve. The mixer valve is difficult and expensive to replace, so I was wondering, if I fitted a check valve to the hot and cold water inlets would that prevent the cold water from entering the hot water stuff?

Thanks

yep a check valve on the hot will stop the cold crossing over.

Err, isn't that what shower mixers are supposed to do?

What, exactly, do you mean by "cold water...entering the hot water stuff"?

Possible pre-emptive suggestions:
Pressure equalising valve
Flow restrictors to equalise flow rates

Now I've reade your other post on this same subject, ignore the above.
Fit a check valve.
