I have just moved into a house built about 5 years ago and one of the bathroom extractor fans does not work.

In the other bathroom the extractor fan turns on or off with the Isolator switch which is posted high up on the wall in the bathroom but not for the broken one.

Should I try changing the Isolator switch over before I call in someone to look at the fan?

Any thoughts from someone who knows what they are doing much appreciated

highly likely to be a fault with the fan rather than the isolator. Get a voltage tester and test at the fan and the isolator. Fan is also likely to operate through light pull cord.
