Hi, I
I have a double yorkshire valve (8mm?)which appears to leak from the twist knob , a steady drip droplet. can they be serviced or does it need a new valve (min 30 pounds)

which way to unscrew the 2 little compression fittings to the 8mm pipes? anti-cw up into the valve or cw down to the pipe ( to unscrew)

advice appreciated

lefty loosey righty tighty :D

presuming its a compression fitting on a vertical bit of pipe from the floor to the underside of a valve, you turn it from right to left to undo.

turn valve off, Take the knob off and there is a nut there... undo (little water may come out but usually none) repack the gap with ptfe tape and put nut back on it should be ok

thanks nam and nitro
silly q??? undoing the nut doesn't then open the floodgates I've been bitten once

also probably compression fittings are leaking..
slacken off and replace olives and tape???

FYI general left hand thread on valve had me going for a while presumably valve is clsed by a spring mechanism and opened by screwing down a plunger
