That's rather a petty reason to abandon a decent manufacturer, don't you think.

Isn't it YouTube that's making the change rather than Panasonic? Also, are you presuming that the TV could run the new coding required, or have you made an assumption that TVs work the same way as a PC regarding running new programmes?

If it was me then I'd buy a $30/£30 Google Chromecast or an Android MX box and add some real Smart horsepower to the TV instead of throwing my toys out of the pram.

Don't you mean "end of my term as a Google customer"?
They are the ones making this change. Or do you wish to punish Panasonic for not being clairvoyant?
