Zannusi washer dryer controls stick

On the wash cycle the dial will move slightly to start the wash but then just remains in the same place and all that can be heard is a clicking noise?

i assume it fills with water?

if so the heater has gone, the m/c is waiting for the water to get hot

On some of the Zanussis the heater wires are prone to fall off because the spade terminals point downwards. If the problem is heater related it should go through all the rinses and final spin without sticking.

if you can hear a clicking noise .....then i would say its the timer sticking ... ( if the noise is comming from the timer) stick your ear on the timer knob to make sure.

it is quite common on some zan models
its normaly the green cog inside the timer that stips
