Zanussi FJS 1397W jetsystem Excel wash cycle fault

On start of cycle water starts filling followed by drum spins full speed for couple of seconds, followed by timer carries on advancing. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Check the motor tacho. It's either come out or dropped to bits.

Unplug your appliance before working on it.

Tacho magnet had come loose. Tacho tightened. Problem solved. Many thanks for the advice.
