Zanussi Jetstream Excel FJS-1397W Buzzing

Our washing machine is making a buzzing sound, if I had to guess would say it is an electrical problem, possibly something shorting? Seems to come from centre of machine and wash is taking much longer than normal. Any clues or thoughts on what the problem is and how easy it might be to fix? Thanks.
