My Zanussi 948 gets so far into the program and then seems to stop and the pipes in the bottom of the dishwasher glow extremely red and smell hot. Any suggestions please? Or do I need to buy a new one? Any advice gratefully received, thank you.

why has no one replied to this?
take out your lower basket.
remove the lower spray arm.
remove the grey pre filter.
to the right side there may be a dome with a screw in the middle.
remove the screw and the dome.
inside there will be two blue pipes and a little black one.
noting where they goremove them and clean them thoroghly.
put everything back where it was and try again.
if what i've described doesn't match your machine then please repost with the model number.
