My Zanussi cooker suddenly stopped working. Neither oven element nor grill will heat up. As I had suspected the thermostat previously, not controlling at the right temperature, I thought it might be the problem as it controls both the oven and the grill temperatures. I replaced the thermostat and it made no difference, still no heat. The red light comes on over the oven control knob and I have checked the contacts behind the control knob and all seem to be making contact when they should. I have checked the continuity on both elements and they show a resistance of about 25 and 30 ohms, but I have no idea what they should be, but both of them has a circuit.

Can anyone suggest where the problem lies.

With some embarrassment I can report that the oven is fixed. Turns out that the timer had not been reset after a power outage and the oven will not work until the timer is set. Sorry about that, but all's well that ends well.
