The problem that I see with all of this recognising Palestine as a state, is that hamas does not recognise Israel as a state and by the west putting pressure on Israel and blackmailing them that if Israel continues this war then we will recognise Palestine as a sovereign state, I see this as playing directly into hamas arms. It is giving them exactly what they want. It doesnt give the hostages much of a chance as hamas will not be wanting to give those up, It is like telling hamas it is ok to slaughter 1300 jews and we will recognise you. Israel is our allie, hamas is not.

The current options seem to be:

1. carry on as it is, and watch Israel eradicate the Palestian people, destroy their land, and turn Gaza into a new coastal resort
2. save the people of Palestine, and force through diplomacy, and sanctions, if required, Israel to accept that they need to back off.

As I see it, the main reason to recognise Palestine as a state is that there can then be international intervention. A UN peace keeping force can be put in place to ensure aid gets in and IDF stay out. And any further breaches might bevery bad for Isreal.
 
Israel is demolishing more Palestinian homes across the occupied West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, at a higher rate in 2025 than any previous year since the occupation began in 1967.

So it could be the UN, Amnesty, the BBC, CNN, Jerusalem Post, Israeli citizens opposed to genocide, most of the governments of the world....

I posted the info-graphic to illustrate how Israel has increased the illegal demolition and forced displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank; highlighting why they fight and continue to protest their treatment at the hands of a criminal government.

Obviously you'd rather live on your knees in their position and suck it up when told to move out for the bulldozers.

The army chief opposes it, along with some military leaders. He's only trying to prolong things to stay in office.
 
This religious sh.. has been going on for years. I can only say that over the years. millions of jews have been murdered, so after I watched the notorious banned video, taken by Hamas, of the murder of men, women, children & babies, I concluded this is not the work of soldiers, it is the work of a degenerate organisation whose intention is to force their will on others. Colleagues who showed me the video agreed, Israel should take the country, let the innocents leave, then raze the place. Job done.
