Hamas official Basem Naim has been talking to Al Jazeera about the precocious Gaza ceasefire deal which looks increasingly like it will collapse. As a reminder, Benjamin Netanyahu has delayed the handover of 620 Palestinians indefinitely as he is demanding Hamas stop what he called its “cynical use of hostages for propaganda”. Naim – a member of Hamas’s political bureau - said the Israeli prime minister is “intentionally sabotaging” the truce agreement. He told Al Jazeera:

Before going to the next step, we have to be sure that the past step, which was releasing 620 prisoners, are already released. Because Netanyahu is clearly sending strong messages that he is intentionally sabotaging the deal; he is preparing the atmosphere for returning back to the war. Therefore what are the guarantees that he might take the other four bodies and again not release the agreed upon number of Palestinians plus the 620 Palestinians?

Hamas had previously said it would release four bodies this week, completing the truce’s first phase, but this is now in doubt. Netanyahu has appeared reluctant to talk about the second phase of the three-stage ceasefire agreement, which would involve a complete Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza.

Israel is still expanding the bridgehead in Southern Syria, claiming a demilitarised zone similar to Lebanon is the only acceptable solution to end their war. Further expansion on the West Bank hasn't stopped during the 'ceasefire' - stage two is meant to begin this weekend but nobody knows how it will work.

They're probaably applauding the latest perfidy by Israel as they've cut off humanitarian supplies to Gaza in an effort to pressure Hamas into accepting a change in the ceasefire agreement to allow for the release of hostages without an Israeli troop withdrawal...the US special envoy, Steve Witkoff, [wanted] to extend phase one of the ceasefire and continue to release hostages, and postpone phase two, which envisaged an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

An Israeli official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the Associated Press the decision to suspend aid was made in coordination with the Trump administration. The Grauniad - which has already fast-tracked $12bn of military aid to the Zionists as the Israeli government is considering calling up 400,000 Israeli reservists to the army because, according to those reports, 2025 is going to be a year of war.

Strange how the zionist apologists aren't commenting on the fact that their favourite country has reneged on the agreed deal again...

And is using starvation yet again to blackmail the Palestinians...

But then the apologists are probably hoping that bibi the war criminal engineers an excuse to restart the genocide!

And should the orange rapist be a part of this, then we can add war criminal to his rap sheet as well !

Even the trucks that came in over the past 42 days did not fulfil people’s major needs. People were trying to make up for the lack of food and other basic necessities, but there was not enough. That’s because the Israeli military, for the past 15 months, had pushed people to the edge of needing basically everything. When it comes to water, for example, 80 percent of Gaza’s reservoirs have been completely destroyed along with the desalination infrastructure. So there is full reliance on the trucks that are carrying water supplies.

...the Kan broadcaster and the Israel Hayom newspaper that said Israel is planning to cut off water and electricity to Gaza as part of the pressure campaign. Citing unnamed sources, the broadcaster said the next stage of the plan, dubbed “Hell”, is to again forcibly displace the population of north Gaza to the south and then to cut off all electricity.

The final stage is a return to all-out war, using the heavy bombs and weapons supplies the Trump administration has sent to Israel, it reported...

To avoid further ridiculous accusations of anti-semitism i'll post this from Yehuda Cohen, the father of an Israeli hostage, [who] has said Benjamin Netanyahu is “stalling” the deal with Hamas that could lead to the return of his son from Gaza.

“The only thing is Netanyahu is stalling it and I’m here to say loud and clear: we need pressure on our government, on Netanyahu in particular, to go for the second part of the deal.” Cohen added: “Everything stands on our prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who refuses to get to a permanent ceasefire. “He’s not doing it because of ideological reasons. He’s doing it for personal reasons. He wants to stay in power.”

Israel said on Sunday that a new US proposal calls for extending the ceasefire’s first phase through Ramadan and the Jewish Passover holiday, which ends on 20 April. Under that proposal, Hamas would release half the hostages on the first day and the rest when an agreement is reached on a permanent ceasefire, Netanyahu said.

The state of israel has reneged on the ceasefire deal, and on top of starvation they are are now inflicting power cut offs/water deprivation in order to provoke the final destruction of gaza...

And the West Bank is suffering the same fate!

It's an interesting tactic to start negotiations on the second phase of the ceasefire: electricity is vital to maintain the desalination plants that provide Gazans with clean drinking water. Without them the chances of typhoid and cholera increase among a population already deprived of the basic necessities of life...another war crime to be ignored by the West.
