i am adding a zone valve in my GHW return after the tee to the feed and expansion pipe, is that ok? im doing c plan? so if the valve is shut the heating wont have a feed and expansion or is that seperate?

The valve needs to be between cylinder connection and tee to f&e tank so not to obstruct cold feed and axpansion.
This will then not cause a problem with anything but usually involves altering pipe work not just cutting in to fit valve.
