His lifestyle may have led him to his killer though. He was killed by a policeman no matter how you want to dress it up. That policeman had no legal authority to kill him, and was jailed accordingly.

And he had the CHOICE to stop kneeling on the mans neck, once he had got the man under control. To keep the pressure on his neck was a choice, not a bad day.The man went got up in the morning to do his job. Not to kill someone.
