If supplying double oven and an electric hob would they need to be run from seperate circuits, is this the norm to run two seperate circuits for them?

Depends on the power rating.

What does the rating plate on each say and what is the size of cable and protective device for the circuit that will feed them?

Most likely - oven 20/32 amp. hob 32 amp.

The only thing I'd run from the same circuit as a hob is a single oven wired via a 13 amp fuse, and an extractor fan, wired via a 3 amp fuse.

But a double oven is almost certainly going to be 5kw+, which takes it beyond the 13 amp plug.

Its a broad church.

I installed a hob & oven (both Neff) on Friday.
Single Oven was 3.6KW (requires 16A cct) and induction hob was 7.6KW

Lets see what the real story is. Dont want to mislead him/her, do we??
