You would be better to barrow it at the same time as you would be moving it twice otherwise. Where abouts in Brum are you?

    How decent people can be.......NOT!

If she had been rammed up the back side she would not have got pregnant in the first place... :P Well done Thermo, because I travel from North to South alot, I find Northerns more willing to help than people who live in the south. I stopped to help some one with a spare wheel change in...

Vaillant VRC 400 without Vaillant Cylinder

Gas4you is right in saying the hot water boost will not work unless the vailiant thermistor is fitted and not a cylinder stat. I used a essex boss and a solar heating fitting to fit a valiant thermistor in a normal hot water tank. You then get all the functions, including the temp of the...

    Chasing concrete floors

I use a dyson with the filters removed. I then put it out side and use an extension hose with a wall chaser. I does a very good job. The room will still need a quick dust after though

    Vaillant ecoTEC plus

Try turning down the heat output ( I think it is under d1 in the install settings ) . If it is set too high, these boilers seem not to like a large temp difference between flow and return pipes when they first start up.

    Vaillant VRC400 Backlight

Does the vrc400 have a backlight? I have just fitted one to a Ecotec 428, it all works fine but when it goes dark , I have to turn the light on to see what the display is showing. The manual does not say anything about the backlight . Was I expecting too much to think it would have one?

ford transit 1999 SWB first start trouble

There are no glow plugs on this engine. The only thing that stops it from starting from cold if it starts first turn when warm is it is not turning over fast enough. This could be a bad battery or the cables from the battery to the starter, or the starter itself. I would check the cable...

    Diy garage and celcon blocks

I have just done the same thing. Have a look at http://s115.photobucket.com/albums/n306/softlad1971/ I would not use the blocks again. They were very hard to paint. I could lay them quicker than paint them even with a big brush. You can get smooth face areated blocks, which I did not use...

    Ford Escort 1.8D sump plug

If the sump plug has a plastic washer, then just melt it with a blow lamp. It will then undo very easily.

Is dry verge tiling worth it?

Marley do a refurb kit that allows you to extend the battens with metal straps if they are too short. Have a look at the marley website.

passat tdi 97 110 bhp lose power after 3000rpm

Merc do a air flow meter for the cdi220 which fits and is about half the price VW want for one. I have changed loads of them. If you can hook it up to a computer, the ecu gives out data for sensor airflow compared with what the ecu expects at that rev/load range. The failed sensors always read low.
