air in radiator

hi all.

i keep getting air into my bathroom rad. its quite a tall rad and higher than the rest of the rads in the house, its also upstairs, the boiler is a ferroli optimax 38 c, it s supposed to be a sealed system, so why does air keep on getting there

ps its ony that one rad.

hope this makes sense

Might be nitrogen rather than air....can be early sign of corrosion starting.

Try adding some inhibitor to the system and it should help.
 
Do you have to keep re-pressurising the system?

if so new water could give of 'air' when heated.

You could also have a 'leaking' joint that is sucking in air to the system on the negative pressure side of the pump.
 
yeah i have to keep pressuring the system every 10 to 14 days or so.

carnt see any leaks,

all the rads are quite new, say about 10 months,

expansion vessle might be flat in boiler and thus dripping water out the pressure relief pipe thus dropping pressure and then you refilling with fresh water and air.
