So the Overheat stat is ok, cause it currently reads 0 Ohms which is closed.

you shouldnt get 0 ohms, you should have a readable resistance which will be the same as when the 2 leads are together (test). there will be OL not 0 ohms mate - that means it is screwed. link it out for test purposes

I was trying not to be too technical here. I originally posted ~0Ω which is 'approximately' 0 taking into account lead resistance etc.
What do you mean by OL ?

Was confident enough about the anxillarys being ok to go ahead and buy a new PCB.
Fired up straight away.
