Can anyone tell me what BBRI stands for? Allegedly they specify regulation height for bathroom sinks and all city and guilds plumbers install to their 800mm specification.

Thanks

i think you will find most plumbers fit the basin ( not sink! ) at the height appropriate to its pedistal !!!

A sink is in the kitchen!

Oops. This is a freestanding basin which was supposed to sit on top of a wooden unit. The guy in question cut a bloody great hole in it to countersink it as this was "in accordance with BBRI specifications" to get it to the correct height.

Closest Google gets is the Belgian Building Research Institute which doesn't quite seem right for city & guilds plumbing.
