having problems with this boiler, first problem was flame was not igniting and we had it diagnosed as a split diaphragm, problem was fixed
Then every time we switched on hot water or constant or timer CH it ignited and after a few seconds red lock out light came on. We had someone come and repalce pump but did not cure problem ..... was this correct?

Now if we switch boiler off for a few days and back on again, hot water will work and so will constant CH, but as soon as we put it on timer, after 20 mins, flame goes out when it reaches temperature and then comes on again but then suddenyl stops and red light comes on again and this in turn affects hot water. If we give it a rest and chance to cool down it works for a bit and then bang same problem. A plumber has stated that it we probably need a new boiler, any help would be interesting

After we have switched it off, the hot water runs fine, the hot water only does not seem to work after the red lock out light comes on after the CH has been on. for example heating came on this morning for 15 minutes, radiators got hot and ignition light went off, it the re ignited but a few seconds later red lock out light came on. We then tried hot water and after a few seconds runniing red lock out light came on again. After leaving it for 1/2 hour tried hot water and it was working fine. It seems to be when CH heating is on for a certain amount of time it overheats and lock out comes on

These boilers are totally repairable!

But you do need a competent engineer.

As its a combustion/safety issue then I cannot give DIY repair advice.

At the moment there are two possible models which you might have. Does it have a digital timer?

How many knobs?

hi tony
It has 3 knobs one for hotwater, on for CH and one for winter/summer, it also has a digital timer which you have to press these things in to set what time you want heating to come on and for how long. There is also a switch for non timer CH and timer CH

OK then its a 24S sometimes called a Prisma.

The timeclock is mechanical analogue, not digital.

If you call a plumber then he is probably just that! You need a boiler engineer.

If you cannot find anyone call Biasi and ask for details of their local service agent ( 0121 506 1340 ).
