Biasi 24s problem

I have a Biasi 24s, the grey slider switch has broken underneath the timer. I have replaced the switch and followed carefully instuctions on how to fit it. It's in place and feels secure but i can only slide it to the right or to the middle, not to the left. The boiler fires up for the HW but nothing for the CH. Wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice please?
