Hello

I've bought this oven: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/househ...ual-fuel-range-cooker-black-10148350-pdt.html

The specs state that it's energy consumption is 1.25kwh and needs a 13 amp plug. It's arrived with no cable at all and the instruction manual http://kenwood-cookers.co.uk/pdf/1104329.pdf
(Page's 37 & 38 relate to the elec installation) state that I should use Cable Type H05RR-F 3x1.5mm2.

I've picked up some Time 3183Y 1.5mm2 3 core round flex. Max rating 240v, 16 amps, 3840w, BS EN 50525-2-11.

Is this the correct cable or should I have got a different one as I can't see anything labelled H05RR-F?

It's being wired into a fused switch as suggested in the manual.

Well, I think your cable is actually rated at 15A - but that makes no difference.
Here is what the letters mean, yours is PVC - RR stands for rubber - that doesn't really matter either. lots of cookers wired in PVC T&E.

Just spotted stamped on the cable I've bought that it says H05VV-F so you're right about the coating. But any concerns about the size of the cable even though it's what the manufacturer has stated?
