The main circular heating element has gone on my candy oven. Problem is all the replacement tutorials on Youtube show element replacement via removal of the back panel within the inside of the cooker itself. Trouble is my FDP231 oven doesn't have any retaining screws on its inside panel.

Am I therefore right in thinking that element removal on the FDP231 oven is achieved by removing the cooker itself from its housing and taking the back off the oven unit to gain access?

The fan cover plate is available as a spare part so it has got to be removable. Have another look, it is either screwed, clipped, or riveted in place. Regardless of which fastening method is used the oven has to be removed to change the ring element...the connections & securing screws are at the rear.
