I posted a thread related to this topic on 31st march under fuel sensor, this concerns a Renault clio 1.2 16v 53 plate, it only has 66k on the clock. there had been a engine and electronics lamp coming on intermittently, this coincided with trouble starting, erratic idle speed and restricted acceleration, then after switching off and restarting the lamps go off and it ran fine. Its been into two different Renault dealerships who cancel the lamp if on then say it could be the ecu £500. that's more than the cars worth, I checked websites for a price, and by chance ended up in a RAC forum related to my problem, having followed some instructions from post on there, fingers crossed I hope the problems fixed, it cost me a maximum 30 minuets labour time and a few squirts of wd40, any early Renault owners out there with similar problems check on Renault clio ecu rac forum page 2 bottom of page post under hometune
