My boy was taken ill last Tuesday, phoned and had an appointment half an hour later.

Jack was admitted to hospital twenty minutes later and was operated on that afternoon.

Was discharged the next day fully recovered.

Next time I am unwell, I will be phoning the same Vet.

few years back middle son snapped his arm,brought in by ambulance.A+E were a shambles kept him waiting for what seemed like most of the day.i sat in a chair looking at the nurses and doctors who stood there for ages just talking amongst themselves.listened to 1 interesting convo about a recent holiday a couple had gone on,oh and think a couple of them are experts at solitaire.and when i popped outside for a ciggie the a+e dept was chock a block.
and the poor punters were waiting for hours to be seen.

Seen a 'knee specialist' today, a young girl with a strong German accent. Couldn't tell me what was wrong because knee is still too swollen and painful and said come back next week. Asked her about a sick note for work and was told I have to see my GP for one because they are nothing to do with the NHS! Seen the Practice Nurse who gave me stronger pain killers, (Co-Codamol), and a note for two weeks. Feel like I am going to be passed from pillar to post in the hope it will right itself.

One amusing moment, the young German girl was feeling my upper thigh and saying, "We have to make your muscle hard!"
It took a lot of effort for me and my partner not to smirk. Lol

conny funnily enough i too paid a visit to my surgery yesterday for severe knee pain couldnt see my own dr,so saw another went through all the history which is on the computer anyway,she then said do i want a quarter zone injection,yes plz says i,she then replies well make an another appointment with my own dr coz she couldnt do it.so off i hobbled still in fooking pain.
