Drain blocked with mortar

During recent building work my builder blocked a drain while cleaning up. I've cleaned out most of the mortar sand etc but the top of the u bend is out of reach. I've tried bent pieces of wire,screwdrivers etc but to no avail, is there anything on the market that will dissolve the mortar or any other physical means of removing the blockage.

Do you mean a gully?

If so, I've never heard of anything that will do what you want, so it's likely that you'll have to replace the gully. Try a specialist jetting company first though.

Have you paid the builder the final bill yet? If you believe that he blocked it, then why not get him back to sort it out? If he declines, or fails, then the law is on your side, and you can pay someone else to remedy the fault and charge the cost to him.

I don't know technical terms for drains etc is there any picture of gulleys anywhere, the best way I can describe it is a 2' long bottle trap. Has anyone had any experience of the drain unblocking pipes that can be attached to pressure washers.

a high pressure jetter should clear this, the ones i,ve used in the past have cleared all sorts, even if sometimes it has taken a while.
