Electric shwr.Water Inlet

I have fitted an electric shwr and water tested for leaks no problem I now need to remove it from the wall to complete the tiles behind it The water inlet is plastic push types it says to remove inlet pipe from the fitting press down on two sides of the collar this worked before I tested it but now I cant suceed any ideas
