Electrics in skirting board?

I've seen it in a customers house, they also had architrave trunking!

It'd been in for a few years, I'm sure it look ok when it was installed but it'd all discoloured at different times so it now looks absolutley pants!

I think it was either Mita or Ega trunking and they only had it because they worked in the factory!
 
Ugh, eurocrap.
I'm sure the one I have seen before had BS 1363 sockets on it.

Wouldn't surprise me if they start spreading.

Referring to the sockets more than the trunking, although that's pretty ugly. Useful stuff for quickly adding wiring (especially mixed) where pretty doesn't matter, but it is fairly nasty.

Probably look better if people took the time to properly fit it to the wall (fill the gaps etc) and paint it (assuming you can find one which will take paint properly).
