Fighting limescale on shower cubicles in London?

I don't know of any domestic combi that you can't use softened water on.

However I know a fair few where the heating system must not have softened water - due to the aluminium heat exchanger.

As long as the two are kept separate (and water regs sees to this) I can't see a problem, OldBuffer?

Some (most?) combi boiler manufacturers will void warranty if softened water used for domestic hot.
Not true mate. Maybe on the primary side. But Harvey's will honour the boiler warranty if not.

Water for flushing - £10 to £20 per annum allowing for sewerage charge as well.

Harveys only uses 17 litres to regenerate.

Salt for me on my old Tablet softener was about £14 a month. Can't say for certain on the Harveys as I've only had it a 8 weeks, and have been on my own so not used much - when the family get back we can give it the thorough test we gave the old Tapworks one (available for purchase BTW ;) ). It was the AD9 Ultra IIRC and was very good. I changed it for the Harveys so that I can be certain when selling it to customers that it is a good product.
