Well take a look under the hood of a big new car - then take the case of a boiler and think about it for a bit.

Don't be a fool , ALL modern cars today are fixed via computer , unless the garage has the equipment to diagnose the fault then they are cattle trucked (back to main ealer) , my mate works for a leading car manufacturer so if I were you I would quit talking bolax , my other mate works for himself in a back street garage to which he has to get the software in order to diagnos the faults , did you know changing the brake pads on some vehicles requires a re-map/special tools?

I said everyone Joe. You couldn't do my job anymore than I could do what you do....er probably.

Don't even know what you do.....are you just a professional troll?

Your ignorance is astounding.

am assuming you don t work joe, 22,000 odd posts in the last few years shows me you have a lot of time and little to say.

thats a lot of time trolling a plumbing forum, what happened did you get kicked out of plumbing college and decide to spending your remainding life "righting wrongs!"

Should of read 'diagnosed' , what's this a relay race between you and that four eyed puppet?

They are often not even diagnosed by computer. Dealer machines may get very close, backstreet boys may need a bit more skill to get it right. You are propogating the myth that the all seeing computer takes you right to the faulty component 100% of the time.

If you feel under pressure to reply to both of us in defence of your ramblings have a lie down or something.

I'd quit whilst I 'think' I was ahead if I were you. :p , don't force my hand.

this thread reminds me again and again why i never really come on here anymore and stick in the CC, its largely because of people like joe 90 and nickso. pathetic

That's the problem, the acs course is is so easy any moron can pass it.(open book etc)but diagnosing faults is a different matter ;)

Why don't we have an 'open university' on here? , some questions that can't be answered via GOOGLE.............................that'll put the cat amoungst the pigeons.

Did I not say yesterday it was a full moon in here?

Thinking about it. My van and car both talk wirelessly to my Android phone and tell me what they think is wrong with them.

In the case of my car it is amazing how a full tank and/or a new fuel filter prevent me from having to strip down the injectors and fuel rail every 10k or so. Which is what the fault code suggests.

Bl0ody German engineering. Spoils an otherwise great Japanese car.

Also a question worth asking....if plumbing and heating was so easy, how come there are nearly twice the number of post than our nearest trade kin the sparks' forum?

A post and thread count that dwarfs the rest of this site. If it was so easy surely people would just get on and do it without the need for advise?

Jog on 90

Thats why I love this place. I correct someone for being wrong and actually stick up for boilerdoktor and he calls me a troll.
