As far as i am aware they are covered under HTR1 which basically covers competence on "space heaters".

No RGI in their right mind would fill a flueless anyway.

Got one rigged up to my unvented cylinder amazing how efficent it is. ;)

Got it fitted under an open velux window . So it has a clear trajectory for take off

To be serious we had hundreds of them on contract twenty years ago (not as high output as the new ones) and we never had a single issue with them
And many years ago it was very common to have a portable fire that was plugged in from room to room which is why you find bayonet fittings all over some houses. Remember collecting them in after they got classed as unsafe.
And if you think back how many houses were heated by turning the oven on and leaving the door open.

and that is the main reason we have the stability bracket/hook & chain, so granny could sit on the oven door to keep warm. The London was a solid heavy beast and wouldn't topple but the new range that came along after conversion like the White Rose were real lightweights in comparison

yes and when your old enough to remember that far back ,
you should also remember how badly insulated your house was.
No double glazing, ice on the inside in the winter, no draught proof doors etc. plenty of ventilation!!!
