Fine but remember, it not just a non-compliance with BR's & slapped wrist; depending on local policy, it will be a breach of by-law & as far as that goes, “honest I didn't know guv
” won’t help. Ignorance is no defence, even with by-law (could even be worse cos they get the cash) & it could lead to prosecution, a hefty fine as well as having to dig it all up & start again. nudge, nudge Weigh it up & if you think it's worth it, go for it but you may still get caught out when you come to sell up.
