Are you allowed to paint a victory symbol on it? Perhaps a hand with two fingers sticking up, that classic V for Victory symbol that couldn't possibly mean anything else.

I would try to design a more subtle symbol, but more permanent than paint.
I don't really blame the neighbours, it does look a bit crap for a garden building.

Looks good to me. You've got no taste. Look at the neighbouring houses, it's definitely not a cutesy village, it fits in well.
How did this go with the planning officer?
