"French authorities at Dover have stepped up border checks after the country's terror threat level was raised in the aftermath of the Moscow concert hall attack.
Drivers are being advised to plan ahead and leave extra time.
At peak times over the next few days, Dover has told coach operators that even with the right resources in place at the border, wait times could be up to 2.5 hours.
Eurotunnel told the BBC it was putting on extra shuttles and staff to cope with expected high numbers".

No mention of the 'B' word being responsible. Yet!

Hey, perhaps the Brexit critics have remembered THIS HAPPENS IN THE FIRST FEW DAYS EVERY F'CKING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS and has been for years?

Tell that to the travellers caught up in the queues.
Imagine being in a queue behind someone's who's passport is not accepted because it was issued over ten years ago.

It would be like being in the supermarket queue behind one of those with handfuls of vouchers, some out-of-date, others still valid.
Then after 10 minutes of the voucher sorting, checking routine, they only then start with their loose change routine, then they start to pack away their shopping, bottles and cans in that bag, dairy stuff in that bag, frozen stuff in that bag, Oops! put the apples in the wrong bag.
Holidaymakers travelling to the EU are being warned not to get caught out by the "passport 10-year rule".

UK travellers used to be able to carry up to nine months from an old passport over on to a new one. But post-Brexit, EU countries will not accept passports issued more than 10 years ago.

Simon Calder, travel correspondent at the Independent, says based on his own research "easily a couple of hundred people a day" are being turned away from their flights.

You forgot the two 0's, just for ½ day. And that's the lower estimate.

No, that 1 was the count of whining, Brexit blaming forum members who won’t accept that for years and years, well before Brexit, that are trying to blame Brexit for the hold ups at ports and airports on the first few days of the Easter and end of term school holidays on Brexit.

That's 4.....
mentions of Brexit.
In case you forgot what you were discussing?

Or was it an attempt to excuse the passport problems on something other than Brexit?

Doesn't he like tomatoes?
He should try ham and cheese, as long as he eats it all before boarding.
