The knock-on effects of the additional red tape, in addition to travel delays during busier periods, could be “significant”, warned business group Logistics UK. It called for the government to clarify its post-Brexit border arrangements with the bloc.
“Despite ongoing representations to the government’s departments involved in the new border arrangements, our members are still in the dark when it comes to critical information about how the new Border Target Operating Model is to work,” said the group’s head of trade, Nichola Mallon.

What, the Queues at ports and airports at the start of the Easter and summer school holidays? Been going on since before Brexit was even a word. Nothing new at all. Why do you remainers have a scream up every time as if it’s a new, Brexit related event?
Not in the slightest. You lot normally scream "Brexit is at fault" at the start of busy holiday periods. They’ve always been busy holiday periods since people started going abroad for their holidays. Do you complain that the slopes are packed because of Brexit when there’s snow on them?
I’m surprised that the Frogs haven’t gone in strike yet too - they always tend to do that at peak times.
