Honeywell Valve is Clicking!

Hi,

I'm going to replace the motor so long as the valve moves ok. If I buy a new valve will it include the motor part? I was just thinking that if I bought the whole valve it probably doesn't cost more than buying just the motor and then if the part inside the pipes is broken too I'd already have the spare part.

What do you think?

BTW thanks everyone so much for helping, it's been great fun!

The motor on its own will be a lot cheaper than the valve or valve head.

Hi oilman,

I replaced the motor and it still clicks! Perhaps the tooth was warn down with all the clicking or something. I tried moving the valve and it was reasonably difficult to do. Definitely not light force. I moved it all one way and held it there with my finger and it hurt pretty quickly.

Think we'll have to get the professionals in now.

Thanks for your help,

Darla
