how to build a garden wall buttress?

I have laid the foundation for the buttress, about 50 cm deep and 70 x 70 cm square, so I have plenty of options for the building the buttress and it’s dimensions. If I decide to build a leaning buttress what is the best way of laying the bricks. Shall I start with the inside bricks in contact with the wall towards the outside of the buttress or the opposite? Any other tips how to make it easy, especially how to measure and cut the bricks?
Easiest way for tumbling in is to set it out full size on a piece of board. Make sure you don't leave a split course at the top.

I have started building a straight buttress. Its dimensions are:

- Wide, along/facing the wall: 4 bricks, 4 x 102.5 = 410cm
- Long, across/away of the wall: 3 bricks, 3 x 215 = 645cm

With the mortar comes to 415 cm wide x 650 cm long.

Do you think it is strong enough?

Or else, should I build it wider, 6 bricks, 6 x 102.5 = 615 cm?
