I need to replace a section of roof in an alley way to the side of the house, between the house wall and a garden wall.

The area to be roofed is just over a metre wide by 3m long. Was planning to use exterior ply to make up the deck to create a flat roof and then roofing felt to cover.

First question is how to fix it to the ply? is it okay to nail it on? Appreciate it may be best to torch it on but I do not have the equipment.

Also, how best to create the flashing to the house wall and garden wall?

any suggestions welcome!

Nailing felt to a flat roof would be a Bad Idea.

If you don't/can't use torch on felt then Wickes and several other suppliers sell self-adhesive flat roofing felt.

most roofers would cut a channel in the wall with an angle grinder about an inch deep and then fit some lead to cover the felt
