Is it normal for this boiler to do the following

CH thermostat requests heat - then sequence of events

Boiler running time: 8mins

Rest: 30sec

Boiler running time: 5mins

Rest: 40sec

Boiler running time: 3mins

Rest: 40sec - 1min

Then

Boiler running time: 2min

Rest : 40sec - 1min

Which then cycles at 2min running, 1 min rest until up to temperature.

It can take up to if not over 1 hour to raise the temperature by 1.5c

Boiler setting 6, pump speed 3, 20 rads, 3 storey house.

Any ideas, is this normal for this boiler?

sounds like you have a pump problem or a blockage, boiler is getting to temp far too quickly

I thought pump problem so I checked spindle and it spins freely.

When boiler stops the outlet pipe feels no where near the 77c it should be achieving before cut off. More like 40-45.
