I've just taken delivery of a new cooker hood from Hotpoint rated @ 128W and am looking for the safest way to install it.
What i was looking at was to run a spur from the junction that goes direct to the cooker so that when the cooker is switch on at the CCU the hood is automatically switched on too.
I was going to run a spur from the cooker outlet up and behind a false wall to a 13 amp isolation switch with 2.5mm wire and wire in the hood from there. The cooker is rated @ 1500W top oven and 2000W main oven and has a maximum load of 9500W
The Cooker wiring runs from the mains fuse box @ 30amps.
Would this be safe? If not please advise as to the right way for me to wire the hood
