Just moved in and not sure what the deal is with my boiler...

Not had a chance for a really good poke about yet but I can't see a gas meter or where the gas comes into the building. Below is a pic of the boiler the pipe going out the wall (not the condensate pipe) is capped off. But it was checked and signed off less than a year ago, according to the sticker on the front.

Well it is connected in the picture.

Whether or not it is turned on is another matter.

The pipe going out of the wall *assuming the on on the far right of the boiler) is the pressure relief pipe and MUST NOT be capped.

It was probably done to hide a problem with the system - guffed expansion vessel for example.

It is dangerous.

The pipe work looks a bit rough so not surprising though.

Hmm... OK. Thanks for that, I'll go back tomorrow and follow the pipe work back to (hopefully) find the meter. The pipe work looks a bit mental to me, I'm guessing they didn't want to rip up the concrete floor to run the pipes so they have boxed them off close to the ceiling.

How hard is it to fit a filling loop correctly

Next stupid question...

Can I connect a gas hob from these pipes too or does that need one of it's own?

Do not try to do it yourself as you will have problem with low flames on the hob, or worse in the boiler
