anyone stripped and cleaned a j and s fan, the bearings on this one
are sticking with crud wd40 does not work.

Clean every impellor of all the build up on them. then try 3 and 1 oil as its far better in this situation than wd40. . If it still dont work then its close on a couple of hundred quid for a new fan

cheers namsag. cleaned the impellor. but i think the wd40 helped to swim the muck into the bearings. and i was wondering wether or not it
it would be a pig to rebuild if i stripped it. in the past i would just order a new one. but the customer is a bit short of dough. and i would like to try and save them a few bob. anyway theres nothing to lose

its only an allen grub screw or two to get the impellor off iirc.

ive tried it a few times but it never seems to last long if loads of dust has been sitting on it for a long time.
