jacuzzi wiring

hi,a all
i,ve just got a second hand jacuzzi bath so i need help on wiring it up to the electric. theres just one wire coming from the motor wich is 3 core wire.
do i after cut into a permenent live wire and thats it or do i need a rcd pting n my main electric box e.t.c any help would be great. thanks

what ever you decide to do it is Part P Notifiable Work as it will be in bathroom.

get a qualified sparks in.

Yes you need an RCD (it can be a local one, such as an FCU).

No, you can't just tap into a live cable, you need a point of isolation. You also need to fuse it correctly.

Take kevindgas's advice and get a sparky to do this for you. It will be much less painful in the long run.
