hi

i have two switches in my kitchen, 1 controlling one light and one controllling another.

instead of this i want it so both lights come on/off at same time and that both lights can be controlled by either switch.

Cheers

thats nice

seriously though, you will have to re wire both of them, you will have to run a 3 core and earth between each switch position (only one 3 core and earth required) and connect one light as two way switching as shown here

then you will have to take a twin and earth from the first light to the second light.

You will also have to change both switches to two way ( although if the switches you have each have 3 terminals c, L1, L2 you can use these)

it would be best to put the wires in the 2nd light in a 5 amp junction box as they are now, then remove them as required and also any "redundant " wires, this way the other lights in the house will still work.

I also stongly recomend that you label each cable before yo do anything else, and note which goes where as this will make life easier

It sounds hard to do do but in reality it isnt, if you take your time.

first thing get that 3 core and earth in between the two switches.
