Complete amateur here, never picked up a screwdriver before
I've just moved into my new house and the previous owner has taken some of the light fittings with him, leaving bare wires dangling. I have managed to sort all of them out apart from the last two in the hallway. As with the rest there is no indication as to which cable is the switch(if you know what I mean) but it is different with this set because I have 4 cables.
I am trying to get the one switch to work the two lights, I have tried endless combinations and the best I have managed is the switch working the first light(with the 4 cables) but the second light(with 1 cable) is always on .
Any help or ideas would be gratefully received. Cheers
