Night storage heaters off

So is the Proteus to do with the Econm 7 supply?

the cables going to and from the small Proteus CU, and those two large MEM switches, may be important to understanding what's going on

interesting (?) historical fact:

Old British switches used to go "down" for on and "up" for off.

Modern electrical switchgear, and American lightswitches for many years, have gone "up" for on and "down" for off.

The reason is that anything falls, for example off a shelf, or was resting on top of the switchgear enclosure, if it falls on the switch, it can only push it to "off" which is safer than if it pushed it to "on" unexpectedly.

It is strange all 3 breakers were off, has anyone switched them off by mistake? The Proteus board is the economy 7 board, it is supplied with power only during economy 7 times.

I don't think they have been turned off. I have questioned the Missus and (of course) nothing has been done...

Presumably they turn off if there's a problem?

yes, but those breakers only trip in the event of an overload or short-circuit, and it would be very strange if all the circuits had an overload at the same time.

Or were you struck by lightening? Or a flood?

No nothing like that. So should I be worried?

I suspect the fairies came and turned them off when you weren't looking.

Is there any luminous dust, or tiny footprints?

If everything heats up tonight you are probably OK, perhaps they got knocked accidentally, or something fell on them.
