Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside!!

If anyone has discovered Northumberlands coastline (Bamburgh etc) then keep it to yourself. Its classified information and must not be divulged. The penalty is deportation to Blackpool. You have been warned.

John :)
My in-laws used to live in Beadnell John. We could often be found with a glass in hand in the Craster. They used to do a canny 'Burns Night' in there. There was a really nice Chinese takeaway in Seahouses. When you reached the main town (coming from Beadnell end), you come past the Golf Course and then you can only turn right or left. The Chinese Takeaway was left about 20 yards down the road. Is it still there do you know? Must be honest, I never thought much of any of the Fish & Chip shops in Seahouses.

Bamburgh's a nice little place. Not commercialised... at least it wasn't last time I was up there.

Must get me self up there this summer with the bairn. It's only about an hour away.

Try going to Morecambe(if you dare) that place is dead and dosn't realise it. As Di says Blackpool is back on the up.

honestly, i start a nice quiet thread where i can entertain privately and it gets invaded by a tramful of Saga louts.

what is the world coming to??

We get up there fairly frequently. Sometimes rent a cottage or do a hotel (Bluebell in Belford). Have friends who live in Gosforth, but it's a bit of a trek up the coast for more than one visit.

Craster crabs are imported from Norway nowadays I believe

Nice tea rooms in Bamburgh - the Copper Kettle. Also check the local shop for it's sausages - worth a trip just to get some.
