I'm gutting my old kitchen and planning new one. Problem is space is limited. I'd like to put the new ceramic hob diagonally across the corner with hood over but I've heard that it isn't safe to put hob in over join in worktop.

Does anyone know if this is correct and if so is there anyway round this.

Ta very much :)

Ours is fitted diagonally in the corner , but the work top goes diagonally across the corner too( hope that is understandable) ie not with a right angle joint. Not sure , but I would not have thought there would be room to put a hob diagonally across a normal worktop corner.
