My 3 year old Ravenheat boiler won't fire up. The fan, pump etc have all been tested and all seems o.k.
If I wire the pump to a separate supply the boiler fires up and works as normal.
I think there's possibly a fault in the control thermostat switch.
Anyone any ideas before I buy one or get someone to look at it?

hi what model is it is it the CSI 85 range?? or CSV85t or CSIsystem boiler???? if it is it sounds like you have a problem with the low water pressure switch even if the boiler pressure gauge is reading the correct pressure the switches block up at the back with sludge and then become open circuit cutting the mains from everything
if you are competent to check i will tell you what to do its 240v otherwise leave it to an R G I

Hi Mick
Thanks for the response.
It's a Ravenheat CSI Primary Condensing Boiler, (not Combi), it doesn't have a guage.
I have checked all the main parts and they all work individually.
Would running the pump from a separate supply cause any damage?
