Been asked many times. The answer is no.
The dimming pull switches are a little quieter, the problem is that the ceiling acts like a drum and amplifies the click.
Better to install a wall switch.

I wonder if the solid full sized rubber gasket from a bisa box or the like was screwed between the switch and ceiling would absorb some of the sound?
